Covered California extended until midnight Dec. 21 the deadline for new and renewing consumers to enroll for that will be effective January 1, 2015. The deadline had been Dec. 15, as it is in most other states and for the federal exchange.
A notice from the Covered California Assistance noted that, despite the extended deadline, its Center will be closed Sunday, Dec. 21. It advised partners to help consumers complete their applications as early in the as possible.
It also cautioned that “completing after Dec. 15th may delay invoices and proof of from the plan the consumer has chosen. We encourage all consumers to make a binder when possible to facilitate faster in their chosen plan.
