- November 1, 2015 – Open Enrollment begins. Individuals can apply for, drop, keep or change their Insurance plans.
- December 15, 2015 – Individuals must enroll by this date if they want new coverage that begins on January 1, 2016. If they are changing plans, this is the deadline to enroll and avoid a gap in their coverage.
- December 31, 2015 – Enrollment ends for 2015. Enrollment for 2016 can start as early as January 1.
- January 31, 2016 – This is the last day individuals can apply for 2016 coverage before the Open Enrollment period ends. After this date, consumers must qualify for special enrollment due to a life event such as loss of health coverage from a change in jobs, marriage, or the birth or adoption of a child.
